Overview:
1) Creating an operational structure in order to make dynamic links between the producers of the Lebanese marginalized rural regions, severely affected by the war of 2006, and customers who have a high potential to purchase within the large community of Lebanon. In addition, the project aims to ensure access of food and crafts to the local market and export.
Activities:
- rehabilitation and equipment of two centres for packaging, warehousing and distribution;
- drawing up and implementation of a training program;
- publication of the protocols of production for selected products;
- establishment of the marketing plan for the cooperative “Intajouna”;
- purchase of vehicles and necessary equipment for the chain of distribution;
- establishment of a warehouse in Beirut;
- planning and execution of promotional activities and marketing;
- planning and execution of a survey at some schools and universities;
- selection of the producers;
- implementation of contracts between producers and “Intajouna”;
- training in “management”.
Results:
