Overview:
the project improves the housing conditions of the population of the Palestinian refugees in the Al Sukhneh, Madaba and Prince Hassan Refugee Camps.
Activities:
– rehabilitation of 107 shelter units in the camps;
– improvement of 925 beneficiaries living in shelters housing standards, in terms of safety and hygiene;
– improvement of the income generation opportunities for at least 70 refugee families, through hiring at least 50% of the labour force from within the camp population.
Results:
– assessment of the beneficiaries through the following criteria: family numbers; family monthly income;presence of disable persons; presence of widows; assessment of shelter quality; shelters without any benefit from previous projects;
– 61 interventions have been completed (25 toilets, 14 kitchens and 22 units) in the Al Sukhneh camp.
