Overview:
1) To improve the living standards of the families who live in high social risk areas in Lima by reducing domestic violence and reinforcing bonds of affection within the families that have been victims of this violence. In particular, care services will be offered in order to address the consequences of domestic violence, to favor the rehabilitation of both victims and aggressors and to favor the development of a non-violent society.
Activities:
– organization of a net of 12 centers in high social risk areas in Lima;
– meetings to provide victims of domestic violence with legal, social, medical and psychological assistance;
– informative campaign about woman and family rights;
– learning from the experience to replicate the project in similar contexts.
Results:
– Care service centres realised in 5 parishes;
– 10,400 meetings realised;
– 1 software realised for data processing and to measure the project impact;
– 1 document on “lesson learnt” realised
