Objectives:
1) Strengthen and consolidate the redevelopment of the lari station of Abdeh to ensure an active
support to the olive oil sector of Akkar.
Activities:
- dissemination of good practices for the cultivation of the olive tree and olive harvest;
- qualified technical support for the cultivation of the damask rose;
- recruitment and training of workers involved in the greenhouse for the production of certified plants and nursery plants;
- purchase and installation in the station of Abdeh of Italian certified virus-free plants varieties, such as “mothers” plants for propagation;
- buying a machine for the preparation of vegetable waste material (twigs, leaves, grass etc.) be added to the waste of processing of olives.
Results:
- All the activities and the publications on the olive germplasm completed.
