Overview:
1) To support and promote the rural economy of Argentina in order not to waste resources and knowledge because of migration towards cities. The purpose of the project is to contribute to the socio-economic development of the rural areas of the province of Buenos Aires. More specifically, the project aims at helping about 100 small agricultural producers to be competitive again in the new market conditions after the economic crisis the country went through.
Activities:
– training courses in agriculture, breeding, horticulture, product processing, bread and cake production;
– provision of technical assistance for 20 people, to start new productive activities.
Results:
– start up of 19 productive activities (6 managed by young farmers, 10 managed by women and 3 by men) by the project beneficiaries thanks to the vocational training courses and technical assistance provided by the project.
