#RELIEF project has come to an end after a two-year intervention aiming to enhance the educational and protection services offered by Saint Thomas Educational Center targeting Iraqi refugee children outside the formal and informal school system living in the area of Baouchrieh and Sabtieh.
The project supported around 200 Iraqi children per year through educational and recreational activities while training around 400 people belonging to the Iraqi refugee community and other communities living in the area on language competences, work-related skills and educational and protection issues. Moreover, around 300 children belonging to other refugee and non-refugee communities took part in extra-curricular activities focusing on the promotion of social stability and peaceful coexistence among communities in the country.
